Transcript for "Rocket Customer Webinar: WebConnect Lifecycle": Hello, everyone. Thank you all for being here today. I am Evan Tackett. I'm the solution marketer, here at Rocket. I look after Secure Host Access and, our whole stable of terminal emulators, and it's it's been great, being here and being, being able to support these products. And I am joined today by our principal product managers, Chris Wall and Barbara Ballard. You will be hearing from both of them shortly, but just a little bit of housekeeping first. We want this to be, an informative and engaging session. So if you have questions, if you have comments you'd like to make, please feel free to use the chat, the q and a panels, in in the client, and I will keep an eye on that. And I can raise questions to Chris and Barbara to get you answers, as as we're presenting. But, I think, otherwise, there will be a question and answer session at the end where we can field any that that come in afterwards. So, but I think, otherwise, I'll go and hand things off to Chris to kick us off. Thanks very much, Evan, and great to be with you today. Let's look at our agenda. So the first thing we're gonna cover is, some historical background. How did we get here to Rocket from many different paths, many different, terminal emulation companies and products came together? We're gonna take a quick look at that, you know, give us some reference points to, where we are and how we got here, what the path forward looks like. We wanna talk about, you know, how you're gonna be supported going forward with, WebConnect products. And then we'll go into a little more detail about, you know, how we're gonna support you going forward, what's our commitment to you. And then, of course, Evan mentioned we'll have some questions along the way and at the end. So looking at our, history oh, again, gotta do a disclaimer, as usual. Forget don't wanna forget to do this one. So, basically, the information we're gonna look at today is forward looking. There's some future, statements here. Things could change. They they probably will. For the most part, we're gonna you know, we made some good strategic conversations, decisions, and, we hope that everything that we say here holds true. But things could change just so you know, and feel free to read the rest of the disclaimer if you're interested or inclined to. Alright. Let's look at the history, historical background of how we got here. So it's quite it's been quite a journey. I can, you know, speak for Barbara and myself when I say, you know, we've been on an interesting journey that started way back in the nineties at a company called AttachMate. You can see here by our little, ant farm diagram that we've, been through lots of change. I think on the WebConnect side, it's a little, you know, a little bit different for for you as far as Rocket. Rocket acquired a few different companies, including, the, WebConnect product. I think it was from Open Connect. And, that is just another one of the terminal emulators that fits under the, Rocket portfolio now, the product portfolio and the connectivity team. So, your your, you know, your you probably have a diagram for your company as well that looks similar. Right? Lots of merger acquisitions. You probably recognize a lot of these companies and brands because they've all played in the terminal emulation space over the years. We're gonna move forward, you know, with a single solution to really serve this market, and that's why we're gathering today to discuss the Secure Host Access product. Alright. I'm gonna turn it over to you, Barbara, to talk about our values. Thanks, Chris. Yeah. So I'm Barbara Ballard. I came across in what they call the AMC acquisition, and that was about eighteen months ago, where we brought over several emulators from, it was then OpenText and, like, Chris spelled out the history before that. It was Micro Focus and and so on and so forth. And I know you, as a WebConnect customer, came over in a similar type of acquisition. So, so I think what we want you to know and, and I don't know your experience, personally, but I do have the experience in moving around products, customers, and employees from one company to another as Chris kinda outlined, you know, we started, in the mid nineties. Chris was before me. I was only 10. But we we started through that move, and we're landed here now at Rocket. And and I what I want you to know as my customer is that Rocket's a different kind of company. It, it actually walks and talks its value. And that's really important to me as an employee, but it's even more important to me as a product manager because you are my customer. And if I, don't successfully help you, with the products that I manage, then, then I'm not a good product manager. So that's really what it's all about. I want you to know that you are in a good place with Rocket Software. I think you will see some things today if you if you aren't aware of what we're talking about, that will help you take terminal emulation into the future. I'm really excited about our path forward. But I also think that it's really important that we understand that you bought a terminal emulator that you're using today, and you need to continue to use that tomorrow. So I hope you'll see in this conversation that we really do value your business. We don't try to move things on a dime. We try to draw a path out that leads you to success, but we also understand that, you know, change is hard and that, and that you have to do that at your own pace. So that's really where it comes from is our values, our purpose, our mission, and and what we do here at Rocket Software is always around the customer and the custom customer's path, what it with whatever Rocket Software product they have and where they're going in the future. So with that said, we'll go ahead and look a little bit at our path ahead. So, so I think you got here, from an email that we're we're doing a lot of things. And the reason why we're doing a lot of things is because of the climate, if you will, in security today. So there's there's two sides of this. I'll get into that a little bit, but but they both come out of these statistics that are on your screen. They're just these are recent statistics. Right? And it's just shocking that the things that you read today, they're just there's a new breach every day, and it's a breach that kind of gets to, places where we haven't been breached before. Right? And at the crux of the all of those breaches is access to valuable or sensitive data. And oftentimes, you have that in your mainframe. Right? That's that's why you're my customer. That's why you use WebConnect. You don't use WebConnect because you just bought a mainframe yesterday. You use WebConnect because you need to get to that valuable I was actually in a customer conversation the other day, and and I love what he said because I say it all the time, but I never know if I'm actually walking in your shoes. But he called the mainframe data the crown jewel, and I think that's really important. So now because of all these things going on, you have to safeguard that crown jewel. And on these statistics, they're all really, really important, but I want you to draw your eye to the center top column because that's really at the heart of everything our path forward is about. And that is about the rise in using stolen or compromised credentials to get access to valuable data. It is all about getting the access, who you are, and how to make sure that that's a real person, not a fake person, how to make sure that not only they are who they say they are, but then they actually should be getting to that sensitive data. So that's really what drove this new solution being introduced to market is that ability to do that for mainframe organizations. So I think I'm gonna turn it back over to Chris so he can talk a little bit about what the deliverable looks like, and then I'll talk a little bit about what it might look like in your environment. Thank you, Barbara. Yes. So the terminal emulation market industry is kinda interesting because it started out with, you know, the thick client native Windows. If you go before that, probably native, DOS, if you will. But, kinda developed interesting in the the late nineties with, the thin clients, you know, with the Internet and browser based access and so forth. So for WebConnect customers, you know, there's both types of solutions. Right? There's the web based and the desktop based, portions of that solution, of the web connect solution. And going forward, you know, we have something similar in Secure Host Access. First of all, you used to just saw Barbara mentioned some security statistics. This is gonna be, you know, the Secure Host Access is security first terminal emulation. So we're really focused on helping organizations, improve their security with her with regards to their, you know, mainframe and other host systems, assets, and data. The what secure host access is, it really comes in three it's it's three tiers. It's one solution that is made up of three tiers. So there's the pro tier, which is the desktop terminal emulation. It's got basic security features like TLS 1.3 encryption, data data redaction on green screens, some very powerful, but, also features that you've you know, security features that you're used to having maybe, in a desktop terminal emulator. And then at the mid tier is enterprise. This is Secure Host Access Enterprise and that adds central management of the thick client of the Windows based desktop terminal emulation. And once you have that central management piece in place, you can do things like, identity and access management integration, and that leads to capabilities like multi factor authentication and single sign on and being able to, you know, centrally manage your entire host access user base and a state from a single dashboard or location. So very powerful, capabilities that and right in line with all the security mandates, the regulators, mandates, the regulations that are being handed down by different organizations, PCI DSS, HIPAA, DORA, NIST, all these all these regulatory mandates helps organizations, adhere to those. And then at the third tier, we're calling that anywhere. So secure host access anywhere, adds. So you already have desktop terminal emulation included. You already get management of the thick client. Now we're adding web based terminal emulation. So that's the thin client, where you get a single management console, and you can manage both your web based terminal emulation and your desktop based terminal emulation. And in addition to that, you get all the security capabilities. So you can add multi factor authentication, single sign on, support for all of the security capabilities that are gonna help you adhere to regular more regulatory mandates going forward. So a very powerful solution, secure host access. And with that, I'll turn it back over to you, Barbara. So that was a great lead in into this slide, Chris. So, so this is really coming from a two different sides of the house, if you will, when you think about security. So so the first side of the house is that IAM integration. Right? When you think about authentication and authorization, today, it is done in two different places in your environment. You use your corporate credentials to log in and get access to most of your assets, but then you log in to a different IAM system on the mainframe to get access to those. And what we're talking about here is not replacing the step on your mainframe, the the IAM on your mainframe. What we're doing with Securus Access is actually giving you the ability to add layers of defense in-depth prior to getting that host connection to the mainframe, which is your crown jewels. Right? And so we can integrate with your host applications. Today, you can do this, I'm sure, with web connect on the website, but this is actually the ability to integrate both thick and thin, and there's a lot more to it, by the way, and manage both from a centralized console and weave all of that in through your enterprise access credentials as well as your user directory. So that covers both authentication. You are who you say you are and you're you're real. Right? It's not somebody that is spoofing. And you're authorized to get access to that information that you're trying to access to. So that's the left hand column. On the right hand column, we we have been doing this walk for ten years, and we know that, we are kind of now, and Chris alluded to this, in this tsunami of regulatory compliance. That's kind of the way I think about it. There is just more and more coming out every day. Right? So Chris talked about a couple. We've talked Dora is up here. It certainly calls out for multifactor. New York state regulation, I like to use them because they came out with a fairly thorough regulatory mandate to do business with them. You have to have multifactor authentication. But there are more states coming out with those as well. We just we can't list them all here. In fact, actually, I'm doing a presentation at a security conference, and I've, I've got, like, 50 regulations that I'm gonna try to weave in and just I'm just gonna very shortly put their their, names on the screen and that's gonna be overwhelming. So it is that's how many are coming out. US federal has had mandates for a long time. Right? That started back where their first mandate was get off of usernames and passwords because we just can't do that anymore. And now they're all the way to multifactor authentication. So, and then if you think about the security climate that we're sitting in, you have to think about the impact of AI and this new fake worker thing that we're all working through. Right? Where companies actually hire somebody assuming that they are who they say they are and that they, do will do your organization well by becoming an employee, but they're actually somebody from another company that wants to do harm to your business. So and and, Evan, we're friends and family. It's always okay to move aside. So but the other thing I wanna say, and at least you folks know it's not recorded. Right? We really are out there and live and talking to you. The other thing I wanna add a little bit about is AI. Right? So when you think about AI and its impact on the security climate we're sitting in, I think you can draw two conclusions very easily. The hackers that are out there are only gonna get better, and we're gonna bring new ones in tomorrow because they don't even have to know what they're doing. They can get AI to do most of it for them. So we are not very far away from walking into a brand new environment where more threats are coming out, more regulatory compliance is going to be handed down, and it is soon going to be almost difficult to keep up with. And that is why we're introducing this product. So now you can change me over, Evan. Let's talk a little bit about what the product is and what it looks like, and it will be pretty familiar to you as my WebConnect customer. So, so first of all, it has a, client on the left hand side. That would be internal emulator, in web both a client and a thin to thinner. So it has a Java based client availability to do an HTML client. And what I mean by that is, no dependencies on the desktop. Secure host access offers you all the same product. It offers you unique ability to each both secure both through your IAM and your user directory. So emulator on the left hand side, server in the middle. Server's job is to manage the emulator, but also its job is to, to integrate with your IAM. So if you think about this, if you launch a thick client today, generally speaking, you're gonna get right to a rack f screen, top secret, ACF two, whatever that IAM is on your host. But you get right to that screen. What Securus Access does is before you get to that screen, we will make sure that you are who you say you are via your corporate credentials, and you have a legitimate need to get there based on your user directory. That and we do that both for thick and thin, so that's really important. There are two technologies, including web connect, that can do that for thin today, but this is both thick and thin, and the integration in your IAM is very, it's specifications based. So there's really not an IAM out there that we don't connect to. Right? We can connect to that via OIDC or SAML. We can actually connect to that, you know, Kerberos. We support ping Federated. I mean, it just if you have an IAM out there, we're gonna connect to it. So, so that is a little bit greater than what you get with WebConnect. So, here's the secret sauce. This is the other net new thing. Right? We all know that security I call it a modernization journey. Right? Because you have a couple of different aspects. You talk about you think about how secure that connection is, but then you also have to think about the user experience. And I think we all know that if you start challenging everybody with multifactor, maybe three factors, maybe we're, you know, we're in the days of Mission Impossible, right, where we ask for the fingerprint in order to get to anything, and you gotta go cut a guy's finger off in order to, be able to spoof him. Well, we all know that's not acceptable. Right? But but we do. I mean, I think we have to actually think about that in not such a funny way where if I propped my end users for multifactor credentials every time, absolutely secure, but it's not a very good user experience. So in my world, when I talk to customers, they would like a balance of a good user experience as well as a secure experience. So the secret sauce really comes in in that connection between the server and we're gonna say mainframe right now, z o s mainframe, and I'm using that. We connect to all the mainframes. That's another thing in in WebConnect. We also connect to Unisys mainframes, airlines mainframes. We connect to a, a tandem host, so lots of connectivity there. But let's just talk about z right now. And when that user gets to that mainframe login, it is typically via a username and a password. Well, again, because of all the reasons we talked about in the last slide, that's not good enough anymore. So what we can do is because our server can have a secure relationship with a component on the mainframe. Let's talk about z MFA right now. So that's very good mainframe products sold by IBM that does MFA on the mainframe, but that means the user has to log in via multifactor, and then they actually have to copy a token, be able to put it in the rack f or or ACF two or top secret login screen. A lot of my customers don't like that. What they'd like is a better experience for the user, but also a very secure connection on the mainframe. So what we can do there is we can pass a one time time limited token between the two servers, pass that onto the end user, and so they log in not with their username and the password, but with a one time time limited token. Right? So it only can be used once, and it only lasts for a short period of time. So now let me paint the whole picture for you because this is really what secure host access is all about. It can do a lot more, but this is really the secret sauce. I have a end user on the, on their Windows desktop, and they need to be able to get to the host. They launch a thick client. And what we can do behind the scenes is we can check their authentication in your enterprise. If your enterprise is using a single sign on type of environment, think about, you know, SAML, OIDC, where you've logged into Windows, but you don't have to log in again over and over again. Rocket happens to use Okta. That's our IAM. So when I log in once, I don't have to log in again. I will in a short period of time, but depending on where I am in the life cycle of my single sign on token, I may not have to do that right away. And maybe for some users that don't have access to much, maybe that's a longer window of time. But in terminal emulation, I can do that using their single sign on token from the terminal emulator to the server, and then I can use a different single sign on token with a different window of time from the server to the mainframe. So now I have just secured that connection via two separate single sign on tokens that are time limited and can only be used once. So I would hope you would see the value here about how much more secure we can make your environment with secure host access. So, Chris, I think you're gonna help us understand kinda what the process looks like from a desktop component if that's what you're using in WebConnect. Maybe not necessarily what the upgrade process is, but what is the value I'm gonna get as a WebConnect customer, who, by the way, I think is fair to say, and I hope all of you customers would agree with me, you haven't had a lot of features and functionality added to your product in the last four or five years. We haven't really done a lot of releases since Rocket took over that product. So that's really kind of where we're digging in as well as our investment in Securals access, so that you understand what you get from a product perspective should you go there. Thanks, Barbara. Yeah. I think if you've, got any regulatory mandates that you're, you know, looking at from a organization that you're having to adhere to, then you'll be very pleased with some of the, you know, benefits you're gonna get from both, the desktop client, functionality as well as the web. So let's discuss desktop client benefits that you get with Secure Host Access. So from a security perspective, I mentioned previously TLS 1.3, and, you know, we'll support, whatever comes later, right, than TLS 1.3, whether it's security vulnerability fixes or TLS 1.4, whatever the next version is. All the latest SSH Secure Shell updates for encryption, you know, typically to, UNIX Linux hosts. Data redaction, I I touched on briefly as as well. And the reason that that was implemented initially was, exactly to help customers adhere to the payment card industry data security standard. And really what that is is, you know, redacting sensitive data on green screen. So host screens, whether it's a mainframe or I say a s 400, IBM I I series. You can protect data on those screens and that actually actually extends other host to Unisys host with our, add on, if you've got if you've got a Unisys host. And then privacy filters, that's kind of this along the same lines. Not only can you protect credit card data, but any type of sensitive data as long as you can apply a pattern to it. So you can use regular expressions and so forth to define data that you want protected on host screens, and that data will be redacted as well. Security vulnerabilities are being addressed on a regular basis. We're doing quarterly releases, so we're kind of on an agile development and delivery, process. Right? We we follow that methodology. And if you wanna pick up fixes or the latest quarterly release, you're welcome to do that, but it's not required. So that's that's good, for customers to know, because you don't all a lot of customers don't wanna update on a frequent basis. There's a lot of integration from a productivity perspective with their, application third party applications like Microsoft Office. And so you can, share data from a host screen with PowerPoint, Excel, Word. There's a lot of reasons to do that. Maybe you wanna archive information or build a training document, something like that. You can quickly do that with that in those integration capabilities. Screen history, a lot of our customers are now using that for, tracking data that gets, for for events that happen on the host. So as an a user navigates through a host screen and enters data and so forth and data comes back that's captured in each host screen. And a lot of times, customers are now saving that data, for audit, for audit purposes to, adhere to other regulatory mandates. And then automation from an automation perspective, pretty much something for every type of developer. So if you look at the list here, visual basic for applications. Right? So all IT folks have either used it or know it very well because they're creating automations with, Microsoft Office apps. It's the same VBA that you get with Office that is included with the Secure Host Access desktop client, includes a dot net API if you're a c sharp developer or similar, and use Visual Studio, very powerful dot net API for, exchanging data with host systems. Halapi, the traditional Halapi, e Halapi high level language application program interface is has been there for years and is there going forward because a lot of you probably have, Halapi automations in place today. Macro compatibility, if you go back and you've got different types of, emulators out there, SecureOS Access will run a lot of those, legacy macros as is. We've got, a robust go forward product road map. So with, you know, 15 or 17 emulators, if you look at our historical diagram again that we started with at the beginning of the presentation, there's a lot of terminal emulators there. We don't maintain we're not gonna maintain road maps for all those emulators going forward. We're gonna build a single road map for Secure Host Access. It's gonna have a lot of value, a lot of great functionality, really focused on security, and, it's gonna be a very robust Secure Host Access product road map going forward. As soon as you get to secure host access, any tier, whatever, it's it's just easy to move between tiers, you know, to get to secure host access enterprise or to anywhere. Enterprise, again, adds the the central management capability to the thick client, to the secure host access desktop client, and then the anywhere tier adds, web, and then you can manage that from a a single, dashboard. The administrator can manage your the entire host access to state from a single dashboard. So very powerful, and, we think you'll find a lot of value in the in the desktop client benefits. And now I'll turn it over to Barbara to talk about some of the web, client benefits. Yeah. Great work here, Chris. Yeah. And so my understanding of my WebConnect customers are that you do use the website, more than you do the desktop side, and, that's my understanding. But if I had that wrong, please let me know. We'd love to hear from you, and we're gonna give you a way to communicate with us here, in just a little bit. But from a web perspective, we offer the three different deployment models. So we offer a software virtual appliance that is just a black box. It's software only, it's installed in a VM of your choice. If you would like to, and by the way, that has an OS in it that we update for you. If you'd like to update your own OS, then we have a Linux OS install as well. And then newly, in just our most recent release, we offer a helm chart install, and that's if you would like to run-in your own orchestration tool. What I will say, because I I know that this may be near and dear to some of you's heart, is we do not have the ability to run on the on Linux and zOS or in containers on zOS. That is coming. So please, if that is an environment, please make sure you reach out to me because I wanna put you on the list. But I have several customers that I'm already talking to about that that want that ability. We don't have it today, but we do understand that it's a priority, for some of you. So I I would like to be able to make sure that I understand who that is. So there, and I know that WebConnect gives you, I think it's three different ways to use the client, but what I want you to know is in the secure host access, the web client has no dependencies on the client side Java. So you can use any modern browser, and there is no desktop dependency whatsoever. We do have the ability in the web client to add a component if you need desktop integration, but it certainly is not required to do basic, terminal emulation. There's no desktop dependencies either. So, Chris mentioned TLS one dot three a couple of different times. Right? Because that's one thing today that you would get by upgrading to Secure Host access as you would get that TLS support for both thick and thin. Another thing that I think is unique to Secure Host access, if you think about that diagram that I had up there, the server is what serves up the HTML client, and so all the thirty two seventy traffic stays on your server. So the closer your server is to your mainframe, the shorter distance that thirty two seventy traffic has to, extend out. So I work with a lot of US federal government customers. Right? And and we're always, again, looking for layers of defense. Well, if I don't put the traffic out there, then it cannot be gotten to. So that's what we mean by the traffic stays at your server for the HTML connections, not for the thick client. And the fact that thick client, just to make sure that we're all on the same page here, actually does not their their thirty two seventy traffic is not routed through, the server. It can be if you're looking for, connection concentration, for example, or proxying. We have a component that will do that. I'm actually getting emails while we're talking from a large federal government or for a large financial customer that's looking for that exact thing. Right? So, we know there's use cases out there, but by default, that thick client traffic does not go through the server. Also, Chris mentioned this quarterly releases. Right? We are in a, DevOps mode. Right? We are we are trying to deliver to you releases that you can take advantage of. Right? That may be because there is a security fix in there. It may be because there's innovative technology in there that you would like a piece of, but it doesn't mean that you have to take that on board. Right? It would be your remedy if you had a security vulnerability in a previous release. But, but quarterly releases, I think, are are really, I think what that shows to you from Rocket's perspective is that we are all in on these releases. We are all in on this product. We're delivering really good value for your maintenance dollar or for your subscription level, in Securals taxes. So I think that's really important. And as again, you know, my mindset for the last ten years has been in the security space. And one of the aspects of security is that you have to be on the most updated, product perspective because if there is a hole in there and it has not been sealed from a security vulnerability perspective, many of the regulatory things out there today say that that has to be patched within thirty days. So, again, another reason that we're doing quarterly releases. And then Chris also mentioned this, but it's true for the web client as well, is that innovative go forward road map. You will see a serious commitment from Rocket Software, which I don't believe is fair to say that you've had in the last couple of years, last four, five years on WebConnect. This is really a whole different way of doing business, and so that's, you know, we think that's real value to you, to have this innovative go forward road map. So so I think next up, we're gonna talk a little bit about our advice to you. Right? And, you know, oh, yes. We've we've actually got a question. Which hypervisors are supported for the virtual software appliance? Oh, sorry. Yes. My dog, like, storms out of the room. Great question, Fred. Sorry. That shook me up a little bit. You know, what so so we support really any foundation to virtual software. So, I I I don't think we have a list of hypervisors out there, but I again, you know, it sounds silly, but I haven't met one that we don't support. So it is about the fact that we introduce our product as a virtual software appliance, and it really fits into almost any hypervisor, environment there is. The only thing I would say is we also call out in our documentation the minimum specifications to run successfully anywhere that you deploy our product, and that's where I see the tweaks happening in different hypervisors. Because when you go get an environment from one, it may not fit the, specifics to run our software, so you wanna look at that very closely. But the answer to your question is we really should support any of them. I haven't. The only time I've seen any tweaks be able to made be made is, in that whole, in the system requirements. Right? Making sure you have enough IO and memory available to run our product. And and there's a minimum, but then there's also the supportability of how many connections you expect to be handling at one time. So, but great question. So thanks for that. Thanks, Barbara. Yeah. No problem. So and, again, you can see we're not recorded. So, so upgrade guidance, really. Again, this is pretty heartfelt. And and I think as a Rocket Software customer, I I again, I think you'll see value here. This is we really suggest that you start taking a look at this sooner than later. And I'm not saying that as a salesperson. I'm saying that as your product manager. There is real value here, and there is a real need in the environment with a security landscape as it is for you to take a look at this. Because you take a look at this, doesn't mean you're making a purchase, doesn't make your this is not a, you know I'm I'm not a sales guy. It's just there's so much value to you specifically as a WebConnect customer. We think you're gonna wanna go on the journey. But seeing is believing, and that's kind of why we said, you know, upgrade sooner than later. Right? But make a plan. Go contact your account representative. And if you don't know who that is, email me. This this email down there at the bottom, we're on rocketconnectivity@rocketsupper.com is really Chris and I, and we'll we'll respond to all of your emails. And if we don't, send us another one because it's just because we got busy. But our intent, and at least today, we're responding to all of them. But it we can find your account representative. This is not about sales. I'm not trying to get you to go talk to your account representative about a transaction. It's just they're the ones that can start the evaluation or the pilot program for you. They can get you software so you can look at it in your environment and, and see if it offers as much, value as Chris and I are talking about. So, we also think because of where you are with not getting updates in a timely manner on WebConnect, we think, you know, you doing this sooner than later is the best plan, and and we're always open to assisting you. Right? I believe that we really do have, most of what you have in WebConnect covered in Secure Host access. But you know what? I haven't looked at every single use case. So there is a possibility that there is something that you use that isn't covered in Secure access. I wanna know about that. I wanna be able to raise it up from a priority perspective and get that addressed for you. So let us know how we can assist. I think yep. So okay. So now we're gonna talk a little bit. Well, actually, frankly, kind of why you're here. So, yeah, this one's my slide. So, so the how you got here was that you received an email notice on or around July saying that WebConnect is going to go into a mature status. I actually think, frankly, as your product manager, it's been a mature status for the last quite few years because we haven't been doing regular updates. I think the last update was maybe in 2022, and then it wasn't made, widely available to all of you. So so you haven't had updates. So it's kind of already in maturity status. But it's important to me that you understand what that means because what it doesn't mean is end of life. What it means is that we will continue to look at bugs and vulnerabilities in web connect that you bring to us, and we will deliver fixes or workarounds or mitigations where they're they are needed. So we're not we know that even if you, at the end of the day, said, oh my gosh. This is great stuff. I'm going here tomorrow. You can't can't get there tomorrow. We understand change is hard. We get moving emulators is difficult. There's a lot of testing, a lot of validation you have to do inside. So we've got your back. Right? We're not walking away from WebConnect. But we also want you to know that all the innovation for terminal emulation going forward is gonna be done on secure host access. So it won't be done on web connect, and that's really an important differentiator. So we're trying to be transparent in our communication, and that's why we sent the note to you and why we asked you to join this webinar. And frankly and, again, it'll be on another, slide here in the future. Why we're offering up a, an, a, sorry, a, an email address for you to be able to communicate with us. It's really trans it's really important that we're transparent with you. We're not trying to tell you you have to go get on this new product. What we're trying to tell you is we're going to a place that's different and you've experienced before. We're really investing a lot in this, and we think you'll see value in it. I think I'm turning it over to you, Chris. Thank you, Barbara. Yeah. So I'm gonna talk a little bit more about the product life cycle. So, we we've we've had a lot of emulators as we've already established, you know, under the Rocket portfolio. We have a lot of them now. And, it seems like every legacy company that had an emulator had a different policy for product life cycle. Should they be published publicly? You know, should they be, different than the the other companies that we published, you know, for policies we published in the past? And, and so, basically, we we spent the past, I don't know, six months or so putting together new, product life cycle policies for secure host access. And, we're first of all, we're excited to be able to say that they're now published. So they're on the, Rocket website, available, publicly. They're new and improved. So a few bullet points here, you know, or points to make about the life cycle. They're new and improved. They're publicly available via, a a few different channels. So we I think we've sent out an email notification maybe with a link. You can get to it from the docs portal. If you go to docs.rocketsoftware.com, you can access the the life cycle policies. And this is this kinda goes back to all the different, you know, terminal emulation, products and companies that have been involved and are now under Rocket. Right? So we we previously had different ways of approaching product life cycle policies, and now we've got a consistent approach for all of our host access emulators. And so, you know, if you look at the diagram at the bottom here, we have when we do a new release of Secure Host Access, we have a general availability, phase that applies in years one to three, and that's when you get full support for the product. And then, the next couple years, you get limited support, which is still a lot of support, you know, all the, you can still call tech support, customer support. You can still access all the documentation, so forth. And then as you get further down the life cycle, you're in the restricted support phase, the year six plus, and that's when, you know, things are kinda, you know, being sunset as far as, some of the services and and so forth that are available to you as far as part of the product life cycle policies. So, again, this product life cycle policy is now published. You should check it out. If you have any questions, you can send us an email, to the alias email alias that we shared Barbara shared previously, and we're gonna share that again in just a minute here. So you don't need to worry about if you missed it. So, but we're happy to answer any questions. And we know there's some things that probably need to be, revised and and so forth in the in the current published product life cycle, but we've got a good base of policies we think going going forward that are gonna benefit, you as customers of WebConnect. And with that, let's talk a little bit about our commitment to you, and I've kind of been alluding to this all along. You know, so what is our commitment to customers? WebConnect as one of the products in the portfolio terminal emulation continues to be supported. We'd love people to move to Secure Host Access, you know, at a rapid, pace. But we also know that, there's gonna be extenuating circumstances that, cause folks to need to stay on, the current product they're on. So if you're on WebConnect, desktop, or web, you can, you know, you can stay on there if you need to. We'll continue to support you, and we'll, and we'll support you in your journey and our journey, really, to Secure Host Access. And I I I say I I use your and our here because it really is our journey together to get to, Securus to access this this modernization journey. So we'll be here for you, and we'll have a lot of resources available to to help you along the way. I love that part, Chris. The you and our. Yeah. Makes your. Yeah. I like that a lot. Thank you. You bet. So I do think that you will find here that secure host access really does provide some value. And, and if you would like to look at a little bit more, again, you know, contact us at the email below or your rep or what have you. And and then we can also dig in to what do we mean by an innovative road map. We can talk a little bit about what we're going what we're doing in the future and where we're going. So, so there's that. So Chris talked a little bit about the product life cycle, and they are better than ever. Right? But the interesting thing he also says, there's some work to do on that, and I actually heard back from support that I did not have the I'm the one that created the table there and that I did not have all the, versions right on WebConnect. And the reason why is because those versions were not always shared publicly with all of the customer base. So but, again, there's work to do there. So if you see anything in fact, if you have any reason to talk to Rocket Software and you don't know who your sales rep is or you really don't wanna talk to your salesperson, you just kinda wanna have a conversation with a PM, then this is the email. Right? There's just no question that shouldn't be asked. There's no conversation that can't be have. Chris Chris and I are never gonna give you pricing information. We they restrict us for that because, that's not our job. But other than that, we can really tell you just about anything you wanna know about rocket terminal emulation. So, so tell us what you like and what you don't like. Right? Because Chris and I have some pretty thick skin. We get that maybe your maybe to date your, your terminal emulation experience with Rocket hasn't been, all that you want it to be, but I hope you can see that changing. And and we'd like to have a conversation with you and see how we can make that better. So, so that's the email down there at the bottom. Chris and I are behind that. Even when we're on vacation, one of us takes care of the other one. So, so we will respond to you. So please don't hesitate to reach out whatever your need is. So, with that said, I think we're gonna open it up if there's any more questions. And and while we do that, I get that maybe you don't wanna ask questions in front of your peers, and that's okay too. So send your questions into that email address because, we do wanna hear from you. This is really I think if anything you take away from this is it's transparency. Rocket is trying to be very transparent on what we're doing and why, and we want you to come with us. And we know that's not easy. And and, Barbara, those are great points. And I I think, if you look at, Fred's question regarding hypervisors, this is a very common question. Right? Where are we gonna run the server? How are we gonna fit it into our existing infrastructure? And, I don't know if Fred wants to share additional information in the question about what kind of high providers Pfizer's are considering. But we can also take this offline and have a discussion, with with any of you about what you're considering and perhaps, you know, what the best best path forward is for you based on your current infrastructure as to, you know, how you deploy, the Secure Host Access product. I think that's really that that's very true, Chris. So, I mean, everybody's gonna have different environments to deploy a web based terminal emulator. Right? It's just different than deploying a, a desktop emulator. So, so I agree. You're on VMware. Very well supported, very well used. Lots of my customers are on there. So you are you are good for takeoff, Fred. So you should be able to get an, a the eval copy of the software without any problem at all, and you should be able to install it. We have lots of customers running on it. We do, just in case. The other thing I didn't cover for you is you might think that this is a new product, which is totally valid. Right? Because you don't know me. You don't know Chris. And you never heard of Securus Access before, but it's not. This product was born in little after 2013 when the first big OPM breach happened where federal government customers were saying, oh my gosh. We can't use usernames and passwords anymore, and that's how we log into the mainframe. What do we do? And that's how this product was born. So it has been out there. I have several customers who are rolling out into production, some already have. If you're worried about scale, I have a very large US federal government customer that has rolled out with 75,000 users using both thick and thin all managed from the same console. So well used application was born out of some predecessors, products that came over from AMC, but the solution in itself has been around, in a in a deployed production environment, for many, many years. So this is not something new. This is not something you gotta say, well, shoot. I don't want a one dot o. Right? Because we all know where that goes. And this is not a one dot o. This is actually tried and true. So yeah. So I should've covered that earlier. And you are more than welcome, Fred. And you are more than welcome to reach out, and we can answer any questions. I have a I have a developer friend of mine that just loves to talk to customers. He's actually the lead of all of development, but he kind of is the one, who he he loves this stuff.
